Concept: through an event, StockX, Art of Hip Hop, and the Nike JAM could share their audiences

    People already use the flame emoji, and the word “heat” to describe popular and personally important releases / pieces. I worked from a few different typefaces before mixing influences from each of them to make the “scrawl” wordmark. Ideally, a touch of street style in the branding works an homage but doesn’t feel unwelcoming to anyone who is unfamiliar with this community. The varied line weight matches a tag from a skilled hand.

Artist Statement

Isabel y Ximena son mis mayores influencias. My brother has done more, heavier, and better work than I've done my whole life. He is a significant contributor to how I move.

I call my approach purposeful minimalism.
